Do not argue with or harass our referee volunteers.
These referees are there to make the games safe, fair and enjoyable for your kids. Without these referees, this tournament does not happen.
If a coach or spectator is guilty of harassing the referees, the game will be stopped immediately and those involved in the harassment will be asked to leave the field. Play will not continue until that person(s) is in the parking lot. Failure to do so will result in a suspension of the game and possible forfeit by the team whose spectators’ are disobeying the referees request.
At the referee's discretion, a one point penalty in the pool standings will be assessed to teams who's sideline is disruptive, abusive or interfering with the officiating and/or playing of a match.
Additionally, if a team's coach or spectators continue to interfere in the match despite the referee's warning, the referee may terminate the match. At that point, it will be up to the tournament director to determine the outcome.
One point in the pool play standings can make the difference between a team advancing to the quarter finals or being eliminated from further participation, don't let this happen to one of your teams. In addition to the referee at the match, we will have monitors observing games and they may also assess a penalty. Coaches who do not conduct themselves properly or who fail to control their sidelines, will not be permitted to coach a team in the next year's tournament.
The referees are volunteers, they are there to make the games safe, fun and fair for the kids as should every other adult in attendance.
